Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Siemens Energy & Automation

As Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Harry Volande is responsible for directing all of the company’s financial interests, including the controller and treasurer functions. His primary responsibilities include purchasing, finance, information technology, internal audit and strategic planning.

 
 

Previously, Mr. Volande served as Vice President, Motion Control Systems for Siemens AG Automation and Drives Group in Germany. He was responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, closing process, analysis and reporting of division performance, logistic performance, IT function and mergers and acquisitions. Notable accomplishments include the acquisition of three companies, forming a strategic alliance in Japan, significant improvement in asset performance and restructuring the finance department.

From 1995 to 1998, Mr. Volande served as the Managing Director and Financial Controller with Siemens Components in Malaysia. He was responsible for the highest utilization of state-of-the-art and high volume production lines and the economical ramp up of production capacities for new products. Previously, Mr. Volande moved through various job functions with Siemens Industrial Automation in Atlanta from 1991 to 1994 and prior to that with Siemens AG in Germany.

Mr. Volande got his start with Siemens in 1980 as an accountant for the Sales Department at Siemens AG. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration and served with the German Air Force.
