Dr. Srivastava developed and implemented capital strategies, including mergers and acquisitions, for clients in the power generation and distribution, construction, and IT sectors.
As an expert in the area of intellectual property, Dr. Srivastava has evaluated commercial potential and developed strategies for commercializing new technologies. Services included structuring of technology transfer and licensing arrangements.
Over the years, Dr. Srivastava has been engaged in a number of projects in his native India ranging from licensing television programming to developing co-generation and captive power projects. In 2005, Dr. Srivastava, as a partner, set up Primacy Industries in Mangalore, India to manufacture candles. The factory is the largest of its kind in Asia and is the single largest exporter of candles from India to major US and European retailers.
Among others, Dr. Srivastava serves on the advisory boards of Inventure Academy in Bangalore, India and Infimatics, a subsidiary of internationally renowned machine tools manufacturer, MAG-IAS. As a part-owner and investment group representative, he has served in executive capacities in staff augmentation and BPO companies, including Primacy International, LLC that provides offshore BPO services in partnership with the Manipal Group in India, under an exclusive teaming agreement with a prominent Fortune 500 company.
Dr. Srivastava was Director of Research at the Southern Center for International Studies (1983-1988) and he continues to serve as its Senior Fellow for South Asian Studies. Simultaneously, as Visiting Assistant Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, he taught courses in American politics, international relations, science and technology policies and international political economy. He has presented papers and given speeches on economic and foreign policy issues at various international forums. He has also appeared as an India expert on CNN International on several occasions to discuss Indo-US relations and current events.
A US citizen, Dr. Srivastava has maintained residence in Atlanta since 1983. He earned his B.S. and M.A. in Political Economy from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee. He holds a Ph.D. in International Political Economy, specializing in country risk assessment in international business, from the University of Georgia at Athens. |
