Mr. Narula has been invited to the White House on numerous occasions discussing civil liberty, racial profiling, hate crime and humanitarian advocacy issues. He has also met with US senators to bridge gaps between law makers and local citizens and is engaged in local policy making initiatives. Selected as a prestigious Marshall Memorial Fellow for 2008, Mr. Narula has been recognized as one of America’s top future leaders and will represent United States of America and travel to multiple European nations to meet Europe’s policymakers and prominent members of the business, government, political, NGO, and media communities to help build transatlantic relationships in Europe.
Mr. Narula's biggest passion lies in serving the community; he has personally dedicated over six (6) months of time onsite, leading teams, rescuing people, bagging dead bodies, serving food and in providing humanitarian relief in tragedy struck areas of Tsunami (Asia), Katrina (New Orleans) and Asian earthquake (India-Pakistan). As a Director of Humanitarian Relief and Community Empowerment at United Sikhs, a global NGO, he has pioneered helping start free computer institutes, schools for the under-privileged, and helps supports an orphanage.
For his community service contributions and courage, Mr. Narula has been honored as "Humanitarian of the Year" in 2006 by MIB Foundation, was humbled with the "Community Change Visionary Award" by the Atlanta community, honored with "Seva Service Leadership Award" by Canada's Centennial Foundation, awarded the "Guru Nanak Benediction Award" by Sikh Community of New York, Honored as Michigan State University's "Distinguished Alumni Award" and bestowed Accenture's highest honor of "Corporate Citizenship Volunteer Service Award".
Narula advises many non-profit charities in their programs and serves as a Board of Director for National Association of Asian American Professionals, United Sikhs NGO, Michigan State University National Alumni Board, Minorities in Business Foundation. He also serves as an Executive Advisor for United Way of Gwinnett, Network of Indian Professionals, Sikh American Leadership Foundation, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Child Relief and You etc.
Selected for prestigious Leadership Atlanta 2009 class, he looks to continue learning and serving the communities in and around Atlanta. He has been internationally ranked for tennis, and was recruited for NCAA Division 1 college tennis at Michigan State University, where he graduated form Eli Broad College of Business in International Business Marketing with high honors.
